Hello!

I’m Skylar. I’m an established contemporary singing, piano and music technology tutor offering online and in-person lessons in Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent with over three years of teaching experience.

From ages 4 - 104, lessons are fun, affordable and designed around you. Whether you're looking for the basics, or want to dive head first into some crazy advanced stuff, you've found the right person for you.

Qualifications

I have been awarded the Level 2 Vocal Health First Aid and the Level 4 Fundamental Anatomy certificate from Vocal Health Education, as well as having trained extensively under Estill Voice Training teachers and Association of Teachers of Singing.

My Ethos

I come from a working class background myself and I know how hard it is to get good education in the arts without breaking the bank. I am dedicated to providing affordable music tuition to those with a low income. If finances are a barrier for you, please still get in touch.

My practice is inclusive, healthy and anatomically-sound. I create safe spaces for everyone - particularly those who are neurodivergent and fall under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. I am a massive fan of a "student-centred" approach and I am always striving to learn more about what I teach. I continue to work in the industry, am fully qualified and have an enhanced DBS.

I-Path

I am a member of I-PATH (International Performing Arts & Theatre). I can offer Graded Examinations from Grade 1 to Grade 8, which can be used as pre-requisites for A-Level / BTEC qualifications as well as holding UCAS points at Grade 6 or above.
